Safety is most important to Damon Pursell Construction on every project and the safety of each individual working on it. Safety is the number one concern on every project, more important than productivity, overall cost, or total hours spent. We have set new company records and set goals that will truly set Damon Pursell Construction Company apart from our competitors.
All supervisors and key personnel have attended an OSHA 10 hour General Construction Safety class and have extensive training in other aspects of the industry (including but not limited to: confined space, excavation competency, and other safety concerns) are followed to the letter by trained personnel.
Damon Pursell Construction has a comprehensive, understandable general safety program that is explained and given to every new hire prior to the commencement of work. A site specific safety program is written for every job that identifies potential hazards for the employees. Separate policies and procedures for confined space, excavation competency, and other safety concerns are followed to the letter by trained personnel.
Damon Pursell Construction is proud to say that we have worked at some of the most strict safety facilities and for clients with special, specific safety precautions. We pride ourselves in having a low mod rate, creating the opportunity and ability to pre-qualify for OCIP projects. Damon Pursell Construction has also been the recipient of several safety awards from the Heavy Constructors Association and the Association of Subcontractors and Affiliates.
Recently Damon Pursell Construction was presented 3 safety awards from the Heavy Constructors Association. The Heavy Constructors Association Annual Safety Award, Class B Division, AGC’s Certificate of Commendation for Zero Incidence Rate 50,000 work hours and over, Heavy/Industrial Division, and AGC’s Certificate of Commendation for 25% below division incidence rate Heavy/Industrial Division.
